Quality is the first step of new production at Jet Products. When a new project comes into the facility, quality and manufacturing personnel come together to plan the process before the first cut is taken. With the new version of the Jet Products designed computer system, quality, manufacturing, and production control have access to the entire project and all related information during the development process. Control points and process flow are mapped and planned by a quality and manufacturing team to insure a positive outcome.
At Jet Products, quality is everyone's business. Each machine operator is required to test competent in base core concepts such as Precision Measurement, Blueprint Reading as well as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Each must demonstrate a basic understanding of the machine tool operation before receiving their certified operator certificates. In addition to the items listed above, each employee must attend and complete the AS9100 introduction course. All courses are offered on site at Jet Products by company Certified Instructors.
At Jet Products, we have focused on the Capability of our process. We have determined the capability of each machine. In doing so, at the planning stage of each job we can match the tolerance requirements to the proper machine. The Cp-Cpk is determined for each machine annually.
